War of Genesis Steam Market Fees Explained

Understand the verified USD Steam and War of Genesis fee components, minimums, integer-cent rounding, Wallet proceeds, and estimate limits.

For the USD policy verified on September 15, 2026, the buyer-facing total is the seller's item price plus separately calculated Steam and War of Genesis publisher fees.

The verified USD components

Steam component

5% with a $0.01 minimum

Calculate from seller receives, floor to integer cents, then apply the one-cent minimum.

Game component

10% with a $0.01 minimum

Calculate independently from seller receives, floor to integer cents, then apply the one-cent minimum.

Seller result

Steam Wallet proceeds

Wallet proceeds are not withdrawable cash. Review the current Steam terms and confirmation before listing.

Why a flat 15% shortcut can be wrong

The two components have separate flooring and minimum steps. Adding one combined percentage and rounding once can differ by a cent, especially near step boundaries. Some buyer-facing totals are therefore unreachable under the forward calculation.

steam fee = max($0.01, floor(seller receives × 5%))
game fee = max($0.01, floor(seller receives × 10%))
buyer pays = seller receives + steam fee + game fee

Scope and freshness

This explanation covers USD only and is a dated estimate policy, not a guarantee of a future Steam transaction. Fees, minimums, currency behavior, eligibility, and limits can change. Steam's current confirmation is authoritative.

When the trade-off matters, return to the Market Guide, screen the item with the sell-candidate framework, and follow the listing checklist.
